Project Overview

As the creator of the design system for a health insurance company, my goal was to develop a scalable, cohesive, and user-friendly system that could be applied across multiple digital platforms.

Objective

The primary aim was to streamline the design and development process, promote cross-team collaboration, and ensure consistency across various products like Sitecore, OMS, Salesforce, and others.

Approach

Using the Atomic Design methodology, I broke down the user interface into reusable components to maintain consistency and enhance efficiency. The system was built in Figma, with a comprehensive design library that included:

  1. Component designs
  2. Variations and states
  3. Auto-layout features
  4. Interactions and animations

This Figma file became the single source of truth for the design team, facilitating collaboration and ensuring a consistent user experience across all screens and devices.

Solution

To further streamline the process, I created reusable templates in Figma, enabling designers to quickly assemble full designs by dragging and dropping components, saving significant time and effort.
